Technical Programme

The main list of standards projects is in numerical order. It contains all the projects currently under development.

SANS Number
This is the document identification number. The previous designation (where applicable) is listed under the SABS Number.

Target date (TA)
This is the date when the document is expected to be published as a South African national standard.

Edition (ED)
The column ED indicates the edition of the standard currently being developed under this project.

Title
The title of each proposed standard is given in English.

International relatedness
This column indicates the relatedness of the proposed standard to an International, European or Foreign standard. The following abbreviations are used:

IDT - identical
MOD - modified
NEQ - not equivalent
Stage and stage date

To allow the monitoring of project development in a systematic way, the table shows a numerical representation of the principal steps involved. A project is registered as having reached a particular step when the action or decision indicated at that point has been taken. The stage date is the date on which the action or decision has been taken. This publication includes projects at stages from 20.00 (project approved) onwards.

Committee
The number of the committee responsible for the standard.

ICS
The last column lists the ICS (International Classification for Standards) number(s) under which the subject matter is classified.

Standards Approved

The list of standards approved during the preceding six month period is given in numerical order.

SANS Number
The document identification number of each approved standard is given in the left-hand column. The previous designation (where applicable) is listed under the SABS Number.

Year
The year in which the standard was issued.

Approved
The date on which the standard was approved.

Edition (ED)
The column ED indicates the edition of the approved standard.

Committee
The number of the committee responsible for the standard.

Title
The title of each approved standard is given in English.

International relatedness
